Gaseous Tenebrae is an item added by the Thaumic Tinkerer 2 mod. When released into world, it spreads in the area, replacing the air blocks with blocks called tile.gaseousShadow.name. These blocks are fully equal to air, but they are not fully transparent, so the light level falls when it passes through them. Fume Dissipator can be used to remove them if needed.

"You have studied the intricacies of the Shadow, and found out a way to create gaseous darkness by infusing a phial with the raw shadow.
This phial contains a concentrated extract of Gaseous Tenebrae, that can be released through a right click, and will spread relatively fast in the nearby area, darkening it."
