Required Tool |
Inventory Manager is a machine added by GregTech 4. It is a very complicated device used to manage inventories.
Function[edit]
GUI[edit]
The Inventory Manager has 20 buttons and 15 slots in interface. Their usage is described below.
- 12 colored slots on the left (marked with 1 on the image) represent the filters of the Inventory Manager. These can be either empty, wildcard (created from right-clicking with desired amount of items, will accept item with the selected ID and any metadata) or normal (created from left-clicking, won't accept items with different metadata). Right-clicking those will increase filtered amount, while Left-clicking decreases it in steps of 1 item (or 8 items, if Shift is pressed). These slots don't store filtered item though, similar to the filters in Diamond Transport Pipes.
- 12 letter buttons on the top of interface (marked with 2 on the image) allow changing the side this side takes or puts items into. They have 12 states each. On green mode, the Inventory Manager will output items into the selected inventory, while on the red mode the Inventory Manager will take items from selected inventory. The mode is switched with Right-Clicking button while the side is changed with Left-Clicking.
- Four lightning buttons on the bottom of interface (marked with 3 on the image) allow transforming input voltage to 32 EU/p and deliver it to the machine or cable on selected side. They have 2 states each (whether energy is delivered).
- Four letter buttons on the bottom of interface (marked with 4 on the image) allow changing side the buttons and slots above configure. They have 6 states each.
- Three slots on the right (marked with 5 on the image) represent the machine internal storage.
Notes[edit]
- First of all, this machine is a MV-tier machine, being able to handle 128 EU/p input. It uses 64 EU/t while active.
- Machine sides are marked with following colors:
Color | Side |
---|---|
Red | Bottom |
Green | Top |
Blue | North |
Cyan | South |
Magenta | West |
Yellow | East |
- The machine will cease to function if all of its storage slots will be filled with items.
Operation[edit]
When the machine is supplied with power, filters can be set to it.
- Each operational side must have all three filters applied, in the other case the Inventory Manager won't interact with the inventory on that side!
- The device will automatically take items from input inventory and put them to output one without the need of Conveyor Modules or Wooden Transport Pipes.
- The input side must have a green-mode filter with desired item and direction. Filtered count only affects their packet size so in most cases it's suggested to leave it at 64 to prevent its buffer being stuck with several stacks of the same item.
- The output side must have a red-mode filter with desired item, direction and count. Once items are placed to the Inventory Manager internal buffer, they are split on stack sizes with desired count and placed into the output inventory.
- Unlike Advanced Regulator, in case there are not enough items, they will be still put to inventory, but with smaller stack size. The smaller stack will still get items whenever they appear in the Inventory Manager.
- If a single item can be transported into several inventories, the stack is randomly separated.
- If a single item can be transported into a single inventory with different filters, one of the filters is randomly selected and the other filters don't affect the result.
Recipe[edit]
Lithium Battery (GregTech 4) can be substituted with Lithium Battery Upgrade.
Usage[edit]
Inventory Manager has no known uses in crafting.
Known Bugs[edit]
- When setting wildcard filter, the filtered item has wrong textures and name in most cases.
